Burger 3 - Copycat Whopper

My plan is to make a number of fast food copycat recipes. Tim chose the Burger King whopper as my first fast food burger.

I used my standard regeneratively farmed ground beef. The proportions are simple. Start by dividing your meat into quarter pound segments and then form them into patties. Set them aside while you get your cooking pan heated and buns buttered. I used a Dave's killer bread hamburger bun for this recipe.

According to the inter-web, once the burgers are cooked (3 1/2 to 4 minutes each side and sprinkled with salt and pepper), you put the patty on top of the toasted bottom bun, add pickles and ketchup and then put on the onions, tomatoes, and lettuce and top it with the top bun that has been spread with mayonnaise.

I put my burger together on two slices of gluten-free bread but everyone else got a Dave's Killer Bread bun.

I served the meal with a salad, roasted, brussels sprouts, and macaroni and cheese. It was delicious and everyone loved it. 4.5 out of five stars.
